A Festive Cupcake Selection on The Kitchenthusiast
A Festive Cupcake Selection for your Holiday Dessert Table
Your Holiday Guests will love Sampling all the Festive flavors in this Cupcake Selection!
Do you like to entertain at this time of year? Holiday parties, with friends and loved ones, cocktails, lots of presents, and yummy food?
Mr. Allie and I host Christmas Eve every year, gathering both sides of our family together with all the little ones tumbling at our feet, a roaring fire in the fireplace, and all the most sinful and tempting treats we could bookmark throughout the year leading up to it. We look so forward to it, because it’s just so intimate and relaxed, and anything goes as far as the food, as long as it’s delicious.
Of course, I’m sure you can imagine that there are lots of desserts. I love being able to take lots of different tastes, and there are so many fun flavors to play around with at this time of year. Cupcakes are great for entertaining, because they’re so portable and you don’t even need a fork! Easy for guests and easy for the hostess too, come cleanup time. 😉
I’m so thrilled to have had the opportunity to develop three awesomely festive and seasonal cupcake recipes for KitchenAid’s blog, The Kitchenthusiast. You guys are gonna love these! First up is a Gingerbread Cupcake, stuffed with Lemon Curd and crowned with a fluffy whipped cream topping that will last into the wee hours, no collapsing, running, or weeping! Followed by an Eggnog Cupcake filled to the brim with the most creamy-dreamy, rummy-boozy pastry cream, and topped with a Nutmeg Swiss Meringue Buttercream. It’s like your favorite winter tipple in cupcake form! And finally, a Hot Cocoa Cupcake with Whipped Peppermint Ganache filling and a Marshmallowy Meringue frosting. I know.
Are you drooling yet?
All the cupcake recipes can be made in just one bowl, and they, along with many of the other components, can be made ahead and assembled just before your party. So it’s totally doable!

Those cupcakes look all so lovely! And one bowl everything is the best, I hate doing the dishes ;–)
Me too, girl. Me too. And especially as a food blogger, the sink always seems to be full. It’s neverending! I’ll cut a corner wherever I can, lol!
These cupcakes sound divine and I love the different festive flavors in all of them. I’d love to have some of each since I wouldn’t be able to choose just one 🙂
I’ll take one of each please, and by “one” I mean “one dozen”. 🙂
Are these mini? That would obviously be more work, but your point about having lots of little desserts so each person can make a little tasting plate is a great one, especially for a holiday party!
These are very pretty and I like the fact that you can make them all in one bowl and can be made ahead of time! Definitely more enticing to make and it cuts down on the amount of work that has to get done. 🙂 Thanks for the post!
Hey it was my pleasure, Katy! I’m always looking for ways to cut down on the dishes, lol… I’m so happy you enjoyed the post; thank you for the nice comment 🙂
Oh I am so drooling!! I love the post my dear. These are beautiful and beyond festive. Three?? So different and yet all belong together. I just need to figure out which one to try first 🙂
Thank you, sweetie! I recommend making a batch of each 😉

The gingerbread was the hands down favorite for my kids! I was really happy with the way it came out. Thanks so much, Amy!
