Hello, friends! It’s me, Allie! As you may remember from my last post, I’m currently recuperating my heiny off after a little surgical thingy. Fun times.
I put a call out a week or two prior, looking for guest posters, and Rachel was ON IT! I’m so pleased that she was willing and eager to help me out in this way. She’s such a sweetie! And I just adore her photos! Prepare to have your socks rocked off with this fabulous treat Rachel made for us!
Happy National Caramel Apple Day!
I LOVE Fall! As a teacher, I enjoy back-to-school, but now that time of year is done. We are settled into our school routines and the crisp nights of fall have arrived. There is something wonderful about the fresh air and climate changes which take place here in the northeast.
October has the distinct privilege of being national caramel AND national apple month. In addition to having a whole month dedicated to these perfect fall items, October 21 is national caramel apple day!
Today is the perfect day to enjoy these shakes, but they will serve you well anytime this fall. So, when you are done apple picking, or haunted housing, or pumpkin carving, or jumping in the leaves, or trick-or-treating, or making your way out of a corn maze or done carving a turkey – you are going to need a delicious snack!
With just a few fall kitchen staples, this thick and creamy milkshake is literally just minutes away. You can even go healthy by using frozen yogurt (store bought or freeze regular yogurt in cubes) OR indulge a little bit by using vanilla ice cream. I promise that you that you won’t be disappointed with this shake. It has that great “fall taste” that you are looking for this time of year!
Am I right or am I right? Have your socks been properly rocked or what? Can you even get over that last pic with the vintage blender? I KNOW! Now get on over to Rachel’s blog, Teacher by Day, Chef by Night, and see all the other fabulous things girlfriend’s been whipping up. And don’t forget to follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest!

Thanks for this opportunity to be a Guest Blogger – hoping you are feeling better Allie & thanks for all the love 🙂
Thank you so much Rachel, for helping me out in this way! The love is well deserved, dear <3
I love this drink..caramel and apples make the perfect combination! Thanks for introducing us to Rachel! Heading over now to check out her blog and follow along.
My mom has the same blender! I love it!
How funny! They don’t make them like they used to, that’s for sure! My 3 year old food processor just bit it. :/
They certainly don’t! We went through three blenders this year!
I think mine’s about ready to bite it too. I’ve noticed a little leakage… I’m wondering if I should invest in a really good one. Any thoughts?
These milkshakes look spectacular to me, I cannot wait to read more about Rachel recipes! The photographies are gorgeous indeed!
Aw I hope you recover soon, dear! x
Thanks Consuelo! I’m getting there but it’s taking so long! 🙁
What a treat! I never think to make milkshakes in the fall. I definitely should start though, with this one!
Me either, Nora! I just love this idea 🙂
