Frozen Sangria Slushies
Cool off this weekend with a couple of frozen sangria slushies! There’s no need to wait hours while your fruit to soaks in red wine, when you can blend it all up with brandy, orange liqueur, and cinnamon in just a few seconds. You’ll love this refreshing twist on the classic cocktail!
Happy Friday, friends! I want to start out with a heartfelt thank you to all my friends who left me such supportive comments on my last post! I’m feeling much better now and just doing my best to get caught up.
Thankfully, it’s almost the weekend and I’m looking forward to a low-key one at home, before we leave for our family vacation next week. Let’s kick things off with a fun cocktail!
Lately, I’ve been making berry slushies like it’s my job . When it’s hot and sticky and I need a refresher, I just blend up some frozen berries with a little water and it cools everything right down. And I’ve been loving all the wine slushy recipes I’ve been seeing around the web lately. So that’s basically what this is, with a little added kick from brandy and orange liqueur, plus a pinch of cinnamon for that really authentic sangria flavor.
All the fruits! Frozen 🙂 You can use any kind of fruit or combination of fruits you like, but I went with pineapple, peaches, and mixed berries, and I found that it tasted EXACTLY like my favorite sangria. Like the most perfectly balanced red wine sangria.
Honestly? I may never bother with letting fruit sit in wine for hours on end ever again. This comes together in seconds and it’s so deliciously cold and refreshing! Cheers!

Have you ever made it without the brandy?
Hey Terizia! You can absolutely leave out the brandy if you’d prefer. It would still taste delicious! Good luck and enjoy!

Don’t mind if I do. 🙂 I like sangria, even the fruit, but it can be a bit awkward to eat. Blending it never occurred to me! Such a great idea.
Thanks Marissa! I like all of it, the wine, the fruit, everything! But sometimes that craving hits and I want it NOW- not hours from now 😉 I loved how fast this recipe was. Thanks again dear and have a great week!
