Strawberry Daiquiri
Toast the weekend with this incredibly fresh-tasting frozen strawberry daiquiri! Made with just 4 simple ingredients. Make a big pitcher & invite friends!
It’s Friday, woo-hoo!
I don’t know about you, but I’m about to celebrate with a fabulous cocktail. There’s just nothing better than capping off the week with a really great drink. And in the summertime, it better be something icy-cold and fruity.
Most Friday nights, you’ll find me on our patio with a classic margarita in hand. Or maybe it will be a frozen mango margarita. Or sometimes we’ll be enjoying frozen sangria slushies.
You really can’t go wrong with any of these options! But lately, the strawberries have just been so AMAZING! I want to eat ALL the strawberries right now, and that craving extends all the way into what I’m drinking.
So that brings us to today’s recipe! The strawberry daiquiri!
Strawberry daiquiris are the perfect summer cocktail. They have a gorgeous, vibrant color, and they’re a little sweet, a little tangy, and SUPER refreshing. Plus they’re a snap to make with just 4 simple ingredients.
So grab your blender, and mix up a big pitcher!
HOW TO MAKE A FROZEN STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI FROM SCRATCH
This recipe is like, stupid simple. The ingredients you’ll need are:
- Rum
- Lime Juice
- Sugar, and
- Frozen Strawberries
I love using frozen fruit in cocktails because it makes them thicker and colder. It’s almost like a smoothie! And you don’t have to add any additional ice, which would melt and water down your drink. Frozen strawberries give this strawberry daiquiri recipe the most incredible flavor!
And so does freshly squeezed lime juice. Just leave that bottle of processed lime juice on the grocery store shelf. And walk away! Nothing can beat the flavor of freshly squeezed citrus.
So all you need to do is gather up your ingredients and blend them together until smooth. It’s that easy!
HOW TO MAKE A STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI MOCKTAIL
If you are looking to make non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiris, it’s as simple as just swapping out the rum for water or fruit juice.
My kids love this. It’s such a treat for them!
WHAT KIND OF RUM TO USE
Traditionally, strawberry daiquiris are made with rum. The drink originated in Cuba, and in that part of the world, rum reigns supreme.
The best kind of rum you could use for this type of cocktail would be a white, silver, or light rum.
I’ve seen where some people prefer their strawberry daiquiri with vodka- and while it’s not traditional, you can totally do this too. Substitute vodka for rum in equal measure, if that’s your thing.
CAN YOU MAKE A BIG PITCHER AHEAD OF TIME?
If you are having a party and want to serve a crowd, this is a great drink to make.
As written below, it will yield 4 servings, but you could double or even triple the recipe to make lots more. Just buzz it all up in the blender and start filling those glasses!
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
One of the reasons I love frozen drinks like this so much is because they will keep in the freezer for weeks. Because of the alcohol, this cocktail will never freeze completely solid.
If you have extra left over, just pour it into a container, snap on a lid, and pop it in the freezer. It will remain slushy, and you can just spoon some out whenever that strawberry daiquiri craving strikes!
IS A STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI GLUTEN-FREE OR VEGAN?
This recipe is 100% gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan! So go ahead and enjoy!
WHAT IF I JUST WANT IT ON THE ROCKS
If you don’t want a slush-y strawberry daiquiri, just don’t use frozen strawberries. You can use fresh strawberries instead or just allow your frozen fruit to thaw before blending everything up.
Then just pour it over ice and start sipping!

Very tasty. We used frozen strawberries which made it very thick so you need to add a little more liquid to thin it down to drink. Â It was very good!
