French Toast Casserole

Ingredients:

Loaf of Bread Eggs Milk Heavy Whipping Cream Pure Maple Syrup Ground Cinnamon Vanilla Extract Fresh Berries Powdered Sugar

Step 1

Cut the sliced bread on the diagonal, so it fits nicely in the baking dish.

Step 2

Arrange the sliced in prepared baking dish.

Step 3

In a large liquid measuring cup, whisk the eggs, milk, cream, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla.

Step 4

Pour the custard over the bread. Allow the custard to soak into the bread for 20 minutes to overnight.

Step 5

Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes, or until heated through and set.

Step 6

If desired, garnish with fresh berries and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
