Place the cake flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.

Step 1

Add the softened butter, and mix on low speed until the mixture resembles damp sand.

Step 2

Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring on medium-low speed until fully incorporated.

Step 3

Puree the bananas, sour cream, and vanilla together

Step 4

Add the banana mixture to the mixing bowl, and mix on medium-high speed.

Step 5

Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs

Step 6

Cool completely before frosting.
