Homemade Orange Marmalade

2 cups of Sugar


1 tbsp lemon juice

3 Oranges

4 Cups of Water

Homemade Orange Marmalade

Step 1

Cut the oranges into thin slices, then cut the slices into quarters.

Step 2

Place the oranges in a large pot and add the water. Soak the oranges in water overnight.

Step 3

Place the pot over high heat and boil the mixture for 30 minutes. Turn the heat to low, add the sugar, and simmer for 30 minutes.

Step 4

Increase the heat to medium high and boil the marmalade until thickened. Stir in the lemon juice.

Step 5

Spoon the marmalade into sterilized jars. Add the lids, and submerge in boiling water for 10 to 20 minutes.
