How to Make Churros

Add water, butter, sugar, and salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat and cook until the butter is melted.

Step 1

Add in the flour all at once, and continue to cook, stirring vigorously, for about 5 minutes

Step 2

The dough will gather itself into a ball and a film will form on the bottom of the pot.

Step 3

Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl, and beat on medium speed.

Step 4

Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl, and beat on medium speed. Add one egg at a time and continue to beat.

Step 5

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a jumbo French star tip.

Step 6

Heat the oil in a large,  pot over medium-high heat, until its between 325 and 375 degrees F. Pipe long strands of the dough into the hot oil,

Step 7

Toss the fried churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
