Strawberry Cake

Baking Powder & Soda, Salt

Milk & Sour Cream

Cake Flour & All Purpose Flour

Freeze Dried Strawberries

Butter & Eggs

Lemon Zest, & Vanilla Extract

Granulated Sugar

Step 1

Pulse the freeze-dried strawberries to a fine powder

Step 2

Place the cake flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and strawberry powder in the bowl of an electric mixer.

Step 3

Add the butter, mixing on medium-low speed until the mixture resembles damp sand.

Step 4

Add the eggs, one at a time, mix until fully incorporated. Add the sour cream, milk, lemon zest, and vanilla. Beat until incorporated.

Step 5

Divide the batter equally between the prepared pans, and bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

Step 6

Cool completely before filling and frosting.
