Sweet & Sour Meatballs

Step 1

Place the ground meat, bread crumbs, milk, onion, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and stir together until combined.

Step 2

Mist the crock pot with non-stick spray, roll 1-tablespoon sized balls of  between your palms, and place in a single layer of the slow-cooker.

Step 3

In a smaller bowl, whisk the brown sugar, vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, crushed red pepper, and orange juice together, and pour it over the meatballs.

Step 4

Cook (covered) for 1 to 2 hours on high heat, or for 3 to 4 hours on low heat.

Step 5

About 30 minutes before serving, whisk the cornstarch and water together and stir into the sauce.

Step 6

Cover and continue to cook until the sauce has thickened. Garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds.
