Arrange the cubed bread in an even layer on baking sheets, and dry in the oven for 30 minutes or until crisp.

Step 1

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the onion, celery, and 1 teaspoon of salt.

Step 2

Add the vegetables, and bread to a large bowl, and mix together.

Step 3

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.

Step 4

Bake for 1 hour, or until heated through and slightly browned and crisp around the edges.
