How to Make Lemonade

Nothing is more refreshing on a warm day than a tall, icy glass of homemade lemonade! This recipe has just 3 ingredients & it's so easy to make!

  • Place the sugar and 1/2 cup of the water in a small pot and cook, stirring, over medium-low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved (about 3 to 5 minutes).
  • Remove the pot from the heat and add in the lemon peel.
  • Juice the lemons over a fine mesh strainer, discarding the seeds, and add to a large pitcher.
  • Remove the lemon peels from the syrup and add it to the lemon juice, along with the remaining 8 cups of water.
  • Stir the lemonade and chill it in the refrigerator until cold (about 2 hours).
  • Serve over ice.
