rice krispies

tablespoons
unsalted butter

brown sugar
(light or dark)

banana,
mashed

banana flavored rum,
or regular rum (light or dark), or 1 teaspoon rum extract (optional)

kosher salt

mini marshmallows

banana chips

salted caramel sauce

Instructions
Place the rice krispies in a large bowl, and set aside.
In a medium skillet, stir the butter, brown sugar, banana, rum (if using), and salt together until bubbling.
Add the marshmallows, and continue to stir until they have completely melted.
Pour the hot mixture over the rice krispies and stir to combine.
With oiled hands, press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased
8x8-pan
.
Drizzle half the caramel over the top, and press banana chips in for garnish.
Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and drizzle with the remaining caramel.
Notes
*Most of the alcohol in rum will evaporate during the cooking process.
