  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F, and a line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl and whisk to combine.
  3. Using a pastry blender, cut in the butter until the pieces are pea-sized.
  4. Stir the cream, egg, and vanilla together in a liquid measuring cup.
  5. Pour into the dry ingredients, and stir/knead together just until the dough gathers itself into a ball.
  6. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet, and flatten it to a thickness of about 1 1/2-inch.
  7. Score into 8 equal wedges, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until set.
