Ingredients

  • 2 apples (I used honeycrisp), medium
  • 2 oranges (I used navel), medium
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1 bottle red wine (preferably Spanish)
  • cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  • Core and roughly chop the apple and orange, and add to a large pitcher.
  • Add the brown sugar to the pitcher, then pour the orange juice and brandy over.
  • Pour in the red wine and stir.
  • Allow the fruit to soak in the wine mixture for 30 minutes (or more).
  • Serve over ice, garnished with a cinnamon stick.
