Cinnamon Swirl  Bread

Warm Water Dry Active Yeast Light Brown Sugar Unsalted Butter All-Purpose Flour Kosher Salt Granulated Sugar Ground Cinnamon

Place the warm water in a large bowl, sprinkle the yeast on top, and set aside for 5 minutes to allow the yeast to proof.

Step 1

Add the brown sugar, butter, about half the flour, and the salt, and stir together until smooth (about 3 minutes).

Step 2

Continue adding flour, a little at a time, until the dough forms a ball and pulls away cleanly from the sides of the bowl.

 Knead the dough until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).

Step 5

Place the dough in large greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and allow it to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

Step 6

Punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle, about 9 inches on the short side and 1/4 inch thick.

Step 7

Brush the surface with melted butter. Sprinkle the mixture in an even layer all over the butter.

Step 8

Starting at one of the short sides, roll into a tight log (like a cinnamon roll).

Step 9

Transfer to a lightly greased 9x5-inch loaf pan, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and allow to rise.

Step 10

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F,  bake the  until deep golden brown and puffy.
