Ingredients

  • 4 ounces strawberries fresh or frozen & thawed
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar divided
  • ice
  • ½ cup milk (cold) any kind
  • 4 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 ½ teaspoons matcha powder

Instructions

  • Hull the strawberries and blend them (I used a mini-chopper, but a blender or food processor would also work) with 1 tablespoon of the powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Transfer the puree to the bottom of a drinking glass and top with ice.
  • Pour the milk over the ice.
  • Whisk the hot water, remaining powdered sugar, and matcha powder together until smooth and frothy (I used a handheld milk frother, but a regular whisk would work too).
  • Pour the green tea mixture over the milk and serve immediately.
