- 4 ounces strawberries fresh or frozen & thawed
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar divided
- ice
- ½ cup milk (cold) any kind
- 4 tablespoons hot water
- 1 ½ teaspoons matcha powder
Hull the strawberries and blend them (I used a mini-chopper, but a blender or food processor would also work) with 1 tablespoon of the powdered sugar until smooth. Transfer the puree to the bottom of a drinking glass and top with ice.
Pour the milk over the ice.
Whisk the hot water, remaining powdered sugar, and matcha powder together until smooth and frothy (I used a handheld milk frother, but a regular whisk would work too). Pour the green tea mixture over the milk and serve immediately.
