Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh mint
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 2 ounces rum (white or silver)
  • 1 ounce lime juice freshly squeezed
  • ice
  • sparkling water

Instructions

  • Fill a glass with fresh mint leaves.
  • Add the sugar and rum, and muddle to crush the mint and release its essential oils.
  • Pour in the lime juice and add plenty of ice.
  • Top off with sparkling water.
