Blueberry Lavender Lemonade
Summer’s most refreshing drink gets a sweet makeover with seasonal blueberries and soothing lavender. Mix up a big jug of this thirst-quenching blueberry lavender lemonade with just 4 simple ingredients!
How’s your week going? Mine is great! I’ve finally gotten on top of (most of!) my bloggy obligations (blogligations?) and I was able to have a nice and relaxing weekend with the family. It was so great! And now I just have a handful of posts to finish up for this week and next, because after that I will officially be on VACATION!
Not going anywhere particularly exotic, just down the shore for a few days and then to upstate NY to visit family. But I’m really looking forward to focusing more on my kids, and having a little downtime 😉
This drink just gets me primed and ready for that relaxation. Everything from the pretty soft hue to that soothing hint of lavender… I just want to lounge in a gently swaying hammock with my eyes closed, one hand behind my head and the other wrapped around a chilled glass of this.
If there is ever a time to enjoy blueberries, that time is RIGHT NOW. They are at their peak of ripe, juicy, sweet flavor, and because they are in season you can score lots of them for a heck of a lot less $$$ than at any other time of year. I had the idea to pair them with lavender after seeing this fabulous post from one of my favorite blogs, which I somehow only recently discovered. Guess I must’ve been living under a rock or something! Her recipes and photos are so right up my alley. And she taught me all about what a lovely pairing blueberries + lavender make, and how I can easily shake a drop or two of lavender essential oil into my recipes, for a quick and easy way to infuse that lovely floral essence.
We were at a summer festival over the weekend, and treated ourselves to a tall glass of iced lemonade from one of the booths. I was so disappointed after the first sip, when I discovered it was made from a powder. Why??? It’s so easy to make lemonade! It’s just lemons, water, and sugar!
In this case, I simmered the water and sugar together with blueberries and a few drops of DoTerra Lavender essential oil (<–not an affiliate link, or sponsored either), for a blueberry lavender simple syrup. There are lots of ways you can use this, from cocktails to pancakes, but I think you’re really going to love combining it with freshly squeezed lemon juice for a big jug of thirst-quenching summertime relaxation.
Lemon <3’s Blueberry <3’s Lavender <3’s Lemon. It’s like a delicious love triangle!
I hope you enjoy this simple yet special drink! And be sure to stop back again on Friday, because I’ll be giving away a gorgeous pink stand mixer from KitchenAid for #cookforthecure! You can read more about it here. It’s such a great cause and I really hope you’ll get involved!

Hooray for vacation!! It sounds like a wonderful getaway and I hope it will be really relaxing. I am not going on vacation but this fresh festive lemonade looks like it would be a mini vacation, if I sat on the porch with it on a warm evening. I love love love lavender and lemon flavors together. Blueberries sound like the perfect way to round out the flavor!
Thanks Nora! I normally try to avoid “drinking my calories,” except for coffee and wine (!), so this has been a real treat lately! Definitely feels like a little vacation in a glass 😉
I love making berry lemonades at home but have never done it with blueberries! It’s so pretty! And I love the touch of lavender… I’ve yet to play around with that in my kitchen!

Isn’t an amazing feeling when you feel like you’ve got all your blogligations finished, at least for the day? That definitely calls for some lemonade! Fruity twists on citrus drinks are my favorite.
Yes! It’s such a great feeling, even though it never lasts very long, lol! Thanks so much for the sweet comment, Mary Frances. Hope you have a fun weekend! <3
I wish I could be all caught up as well my dear!! But I am sure this refreshing lemonade can help me get there. I love lavender very much and can only imagine how wonderful it is with blueberries and lemons!!
Don’t feel too bad, it only took a day or so until I was behind again! Lol… Thanks so much for the sweet comment and I hope you enjoy your weekend, darlin’ 😉
A-
you should send this recipe to restaurants to see if they will incorporate it in their menu….I work at B0nefish Grill in Naples, and we recently put a fresh homemade lemonade on the menu, with a sugar rim and all…and it sells big time! and people ask what flavors we have…and that’s it…plain but good!
So your blueberry lavender lemonade could be a perfect addition. CK
That is such a great idea! Thank you so much Christina. Hope you’re enjoying your summer sweetie!
Doesn’t it feel great when you are caught up on your to-do list?! Happy to hear, because that means on vacay you won’t worry as much! This lemonade looks refreshing and a wonderful combo of flavors.
