Happy New Year, and Most Popular Posts of 2013
Most Popular Posts of 2013, and Wishing You a Happy New Year
A Look Back at the Most Popular Posts from 2013, and A Few Changes for the Coming Year
Ok, ok, so I’m a little behind on this. But I can explain! I have my reasons… I guess. Also, can’t lie- I’ve really been enjoying the holidays, still doing quite a bit of entertaining and catching up with friends and family, and hanging desperately on to that luxurious holiday excuse to unplug 😉
The first reason why I’ve chosen to post this on the second day of the new year (:P) is because after the craziness of the last few months, with all the holidays and the increased focus on baking, I think we’re all ready to slow down a bit. So, for the month of January at least, I’ll be decreasing my posting schedule to 2 recipes per week. For pretty much all of November and December, I adhered to a schedule of putting up fresh content (aka freshly baked treats) every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and at least for the time being, that will change to just Mondays and Thursdays. Today is Thursday, so…
And secondly, when I took a moment to go back over my stats for the last year, I saw that there was a major trend happening. So much so that I didn’t even think it would make sense to round up my posts in the traditional, end-of-year way. Long story short, you guys seriously, majorly, head-over-heels LOVED my Simply Perfect Series. Thanks!
I’m so happy you like these recipes. They really are my favorites too, and a lot of the more inventive recipes I like to create are based, at their heart, on these. I refer back to them often, and I love being able to log on to this blog and find them, pretty much all in one place. So, I’m going to make it even easier, and create a dedicated tab for them in my main navigation. Do you see it up there? It’s called (duh) Simply Perfect Recipes.
This series will continue throughout the year and indefinitely beyond. I think it’s useful and you guys love it too, obvs. So definitely look for more Simply Perfect Recipes in 2014.
There will be more changes/improvements to come this year on Baking a Moment, but I’m not quite ready to unveil everything at this point. So stay tuned!
Before I sign off for the week, I want to be sure to say THANK YOU to you all, from the bottom of my heart, for all the love and support and friendship you’ve blessed me with over the last few months. Starting Baking a Moment back in June was a huge decision for me, one that I didn’t take lightly and wasn’t necessarily so easy. You guys have proven to me, on the daily, that it was right. Creating recipes, taking photographs, and writing has become a passion for me. It’s a creative outlet, and being creatively fulfilled is so key to my happiness (and sanity!). If I didn’t have anyone to share it with, life would be seriously dull. And the warm welcome you guys have given me, and the sweet encouragement, and just the overwhelming kindness that you’ve shown has been such a tremendous blessing. I cannot thank you enough, and I promise to do my best to continue to bring you lots more pretty food to drool over in 2014. 😀
What are your plans for the next month or so? How do you like to begin a new year? My kiddos go back to school today (squee!) so I’m really looking forward to diving in to some organizing and home improvement projects.
Happy New Year!!!
