Hi, I’m Allie!

And that little ray of sunshine on my shoulder is Bert! She’s my constant companion, and together we create the most delicious recipes and share them here on this website, as well as on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok.

I live in the Philly ‘burbs and I used to work at a residential architectural firm, but back in 2012 (when my two sons were just toddlers!) I needed something that would allow me to be home with them. So I fell back on the skills I had learned while I was working my way through college as a pastry chef, and Baking a Moment was born!

Since then my kiddos have grown and flown, but I haven’t stopped creating easy, beautiful, and memorable recipes! Readers love them and I’ve been blessed to be featured in Better Homes and Gardens, Bake from Scratch magazine, Women’s Day, Country Living, Redbook, Parade, and on Today and Fox 29 Philadelphia!

I started out just sharing desserts, but over the years that has expanded to include breakfast treats, breads, party appetizers, drink recipes, dinner recipes, and side dishes. These comfort food recipes are created with the goal of being simple, easy, flavorful, and memorable. I hope that you will bookmark your favorites and return to them over and over again.
