KitchenAid® Stand Mixer Giveaway for #CookfortheCure
Host a Party, Raise Donations, and Win a Pink KitchenAid® Stand Mixer! Baking a Moment is teaming up with KitchenAid and Susan G. Komen to bring you this Giveaway for #CookfortheCure. Let’s reach our goal of 1,000 Home Cooks– coming together in the name of Breast Cancer Awareness and Funding for Research!
Did you guys see those Cherry Chip Cupcakes I made last week? Well, they were more than just a pretty face.
They were a part of a nationwide effort to bring awareness and fund research for a CURE for breast cancer. Just typing that word “cure” gave me chills!
I’m so thrilled to be a part of this movement. And proud of the other bloggers who are also teaming up with KitchenAid and Susan G. Komen to help spread the word! Take a peek at some of our favorite pink creations on the “Cook for a Cause” Pinterest board.
Follow KitchenAid USA’s board Cook for a Cause on Pinterest.
Isn’t that fun? Now go ahead and start re-pinning your favorites; you’re going to need ideas for your Cook for the Cure party.
Oh ya, you know you want to get involved too! We’re looking for 1,000 home cooks (like you!) around the USA to host a get-together with friends, family, loved ones, any time from July 18-27. In lieu of a hostess gift, encourage your guests to bring a donation (in any amount!) to 1,000 Cooks for a Cure. Thank you for doing this for breast cancer awareness. My mother is a 13 year survivor. She had her right breast removed then on her 10th year anniversary the doctors wanted her to remove the other breast to be safe. What people don’t know being that it’s my mother me and my sister have to be tested more often than Anyone else. But we’re survivors like my mother. I’m going to school for bakery and pastry chef. So this pretty mixer will come I. Handy.
Thank you so much for sharing your story, Keyba. I apologize for my late reply. I am so glad that your mom has beat this horrible disease. God bless! And I’m happy to know that you are being proactive too. Stay smart and healthy! And thank you for reading 😉 Good luck with your studies; I wish you nothing but the best!!
I’m really happy to see that you’re doing this. Would love to win the stand mixer especially in this color! And btw, your cupcakes are just the cutest. I saw these same cherries for the first time today at the grocery store and was going to buy them. I think I just may go back to get them!
Thanks Connie! I hope you had a chance to grab a bag- they’re so sweet and delish!
What a great cause and a fun way to spread awareness and help!
Isn’t it though? It’s a great world we live in where you can do something you love and make a difference at the same time. Thanks so much for stopping by Natasha, and for the sweet comment!
Thank you for doing this, Allie! My mom is a breast cancer survivor. Really appreciate you raising awareness and funding for a great cause.
Oh my goodness, the pleasure was most definitely mine! I’m so grateful to KitchenAid for making it possible. And so glad to know that your mom was able to beat it! God bless xoxo
It’s such a great thing for kitchenaid to get involved with, I love the party hosting idea!
Me too; isn’t it so brilliant? I love how we can make a difference while doing something we already love. Thanks so much for reading, Jamie, and for the awesome feedback!
Wow, I find this idea totally wonderful. What a fun way to raised money and awareness. Food in and of itself is sooo healing.
I couldn’t agree more, Carol! I’m so grateful to KitchenAid for making this possible.
Thank you for an awesome giveaway. That also shows support and hope for breast cancer victims!
The pleasure is truly mine! KitchenAid is such a wonderful company and I couldn’t be more proud to represent them in this way. Thanks so much for reading, Kristina!
Thank you. Nice blog/website.
Thanks, Susan! Hope you have a nice weekend 😉
Hello, Allie! You’ve inspired me! My party’s going to be next Friday night – I’m going to invite my grandparents, immediate family and my mom’s cousins for Shabbat dinner. I’m making your macarons with my adjustments and pink cupcakes or raspberry pie, depending. I’m also going to make strawberry fruit skewers for my diabetic cousin, hopefully. My grandmother beat breast cancer, but my ballet teacher from long ago was not so lucky. We need a cure!
Oh I’m so happy to hear that you’re helping the cause Devorah! I’m sorry to hear about your ballet teacher. I lost my dad to cancer a few years ago, so yes, we SO need a cure. God bless your grandmother! And Shabbat Shalom sweetie!
#Cookforthecure is a wonderful event!
Thank you, Jasmine; I couldn’t agree more!

Many years ago I lost my grandmother to breast cancer. She was the one that got me into cooking in the first place. When other kids went outside to play; I was standing on a stool in her kitchen, learning how to cook and bake. I can really say my passion for baking came from her. She would always say “Add a little extra love!” normally this was in reference to butter or sugar but I swear you could taste the love in her dishes” I am hosting a party in her honor. I’m inviting everyone I know and making strawberry cupcakes and other great snacks.
Oh, Heather! Thank you so much for sharing this touching story! I’m so sorry about your grandmother, but it sounds like you are continuing her wonderful legacy. Thank you so much for being a part of #CookfortheCure, and for sharing your story. Enjoy your party dear! xoxo
