Use Large Bowls: Speaking from experience– use large mixing bowls so there’s plenty of room for stirring, pouring, splashing, etc.
Pre-Measure Ingredients: Depending on the age of kids that you’re baking with or if you’re baking with more than 1, it’s likely helpful to have some of the ingredients pre-measured so you just need to add them to the mixing bowl. This also allows you to make sure you are measuring ingredients correctly without getting distracted.
Allow for Enough Time: Baking takes time and baking with kids takes longer. All the recipes listed below include the average time, but baking with kids will slightly extend those times.
Recipes like oreo balls, muddy buddies and homemade granola are always a top choice because they’re quick to pull together, no-bake or minimal baking time, and can easily be stored.
